Following the massive success of the 2018 original, the anticipation for its sequel was palpable. When Juzni Vetar 2: Ubrzanje (translated as South Wind 2: Speed Up ) finally hit the screens, it did not just meet expectations—it accelerated past them, solidifying its place as a cornerstone of modern Balkan cinema.

The narrative introduces a new antagonist, "Baća," a ruthless Montenegrin drug lord who wants to take over the Balkan corridor. Simultaneously, the police, led by Inspector Stupar (Miodrag Radonjić), close in with an international warrant.
