When Saint Seiya first hit North America in 2003 via ADV Films, it was heavily localized. Character names were changed (Shiryu became "Long," Hyoga became "Morse"). Blood was painted over, dialogue was rewritten to remove Buddhist references, and the legendary soundtrack by Seiji Yokoyama was often replaced.
